The 5th season of The Voice is quickly reaching its final phase. Yesterday the last five contestants performed live for the semi-finals and tomorrow only four of them will go on with the competition. At the same time, Christmas holidays are just around the corner, and you can actually feel a festive atmosphere in the show. This can be definitely seen in the outfit sported by Christina.
She wore a lovely black dress with silver lurex thread and a cut-out suede belt. She looked nice, but the centre-parted wavy hair and the make-up not so much. This hairstyle didn’t suit her at all, and the same can be said for the make-up, which made her look too pale, especially under the eyes. Her make-up artist Scott Barnes explained he wanted to create his own “winter wonderland around the eyes”… I guess he overdid things a bit.
I dislike the hair and make-up but I really love her dress. It’s a creation from the fall 2013 collection by the Brazilian brand Gig: it’s a sleeveless dress with flared line and a beautiful geometric design in black and silver. Its simple line contrasts with the sparkly touch of the silver lurex, which makes it perfect for the holiday season.
She emphasized the waist-line with a suede cut-out belt by Azzedine Alaia.
The jewellery department included diamond-studded hoop earrings, a couple of gold snake cuff bracelets by Kathy Rose and a three-finger ring by Loree Rodkin. It’s not the Ghost ring she’s worn many times, but it’s very similar (this one has bigger stones).
Jacquie Lee is the only member of Team Christina still in the game. During the episode we saw some pre-recorded scenes, with Jacquie and Christina working on Angel by Sarah McLachlan, which Jacquie performed live yesterday. I usually like Christina’s off-duty outfits, but I really love this one, since her passion for plaid shirts is baaack! She wore ripped jeans, towering fuchsia heels, an aqua and peach pink shirt – a very relaxed, casual, yet sexy outfit.
She completed her outfit with quirky diamond-embellished hoop earrings by Karma El Khalil.
She also wore a Queen Vee creation – a Stinger Signature gold and diamond necklace.
I’m very excited for tonight’s episode because I can’t wait to see if Jacquie makes it to the finals, and because Christina will perform We Remain, a song written by OneRepublic‘s Ryan Tedder and Brent Kutzle, Christina and Mikky Ekko, taken from the soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Expect two different outfits!
Who makes those shoes??
Pink fuchsia heels? Brand?
I have no idea! No close-up on those shoes. I think they could be Giuseppe Zanotti, though.
What about the plaid shirt? I searched high and low, I can’t find that color blend anywhere!!!
Me neither. I haven’t been able to identify it yet, sorry. Hopefully I will soon.
