Do you know what’s the first thing that came to my mind when I saw pics from yesterday’s episode of The Voice? For the night Christina turned herself into Sandy Olsson, the nice and sweet high-school protagonist of Grease. She totally looked like the naughty Sandy we get to know at the end of the story – sexy in her skin-tight outfit and short biker jacket.
Christina wore a cropped leather biker jacket and a black and white bandage dress. Her hair was styled in a messy French twist, while her make-up was focused on her red lips. The result was really glamourous, even if I must admit this is probably my least favourite look so far, because it’s a bit predictable.
The jewellery department included large diamond-studded hoop earrings, two gold band rings and a triangle-shaped ring, the Trilogy by Karma El-Khalil. I’m not sure if Christina wore the gold or the gold and diamond version, though. She completed the outfit with her trusty Christian Louboutin Palais Royal leather peep-toe pumps.
During the episode, some pre-recorded scenes aired. These are usually juicy when it comes to Christina’s style, because her off-duty outfits are always very fresh and interesting.
Her Autumn Cashmere pullover sweater has a black and red graphic stripe design on grey. I really love it because it’s a simple yet catchy garment, something I would use it in my everyday life.
She also wore one of her favourite jewellery pieces, the Ghost ring by Loree Rodkin that she had worn so many times in the previous seasons of the tv show.
Last but not least, a spectacular pair of Loriann Stevenson diamond slice earrings, which beautifully enhanced her natural beauty. She looked so beautiful and relaxed! This was definitely my favourite outfit of the evening.
I’ve loved almost every single outfit she’s sported in this 5th season, but now I hope she won’t go through the predictable path. Fingers crossed for what she’ll wear tonight, so stay tuned for updates.
Before closing, a quick word on the competition: I’m rooting for Jacquie Lee because her voice is so dramatic! I loved loved loved the rendition she gave of Janis Joplin’s classic Cry Baby, while I didn’t like her cover of The Voice Within very much. I really want her to make it to the final phase of the competition!
