Things are getting juicy at The Voice: yesterday the Top 12 eliminations sent home two singers and now only 10 contestants remain. I’m glad teen singer Jacquie Lee made it, because she’s my favourite, but I was sorry to see Josh Logan go. Christina was sorry, too, since she’s strongly supported Josh since day 1, but let’s hope his stint at The Voice will mark the beginning of a new career.
Christina sported a very nice and original look, what Simone Harouche (her stylist) has defined as “pretty and preppy”. It included a white tank dress and a black and white varsity jacket, towering heels by Christian Louboutin and minimal jewellery. In the screencap above, she borrowed Ceelo’s visor shades and got a “look into the future” 😉
I must admit I wasn’t able to identify the jacket by myself and had to wait for Simone’s recap. It’s a men’s piece by the Japanese brand Education from Young Machines; you can see it’s been altered, because the crest patch on the front has been removed. I like that she wore it because it gave her an unusual teen queen look.
She also wore a tiny diamond ring which I haven’t been able to identify yet. As for her make-up, Scott Barnes opted for a “school girl chic” look: he used Dior AirFlash foundation, NARS blush in Orgasm (judging from the glitter amount on her cheeks, it could have been topped with a highlighter), Dior eye-shadow, Diorshow black mascara, a thick line of Clarins eye-liner and a Guerlain glossy lipstick.
We usually don’t get to see her shoes but this time we were lucky to get a glimpse of them, during a break. She wore dove grey (or were they white?) platform peep-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin. Too bad the screencap above is not enough to identify them.
I’m glad she opted for another black and white outfit, even if I can see why some fans are a bit bored by it. I love style consistency and her latest choices are actually showing a strategy behind them, not just a funny extravaganza of dress and play. For this reason, I’m so looking forward to seeing what she’ll have in store for the rest of the season.
