Could this get any better? This morning, when I saw the pics from yesterday’s episode of The Voice (the second part of the live shows), I was in awe of Christina’s look. It was so fresh, youthful and chic, a clear departure from the colourful wig extravaganza of the Season 3. I’ve waited so long for such a drastic change in her style that now I can’t believe it’s finally here!
So, so, so beautiful! She wore a white printed silk shirt, a pair of black zipped trousers with black suspenders and her trademark diamond jewellery. Her red nails, glamourous make-up and side-parted wavy hairstyle added the finishing touches.
Her Kenzo shirt has a very cute eye print and is made of silk crepe. It’s a playful garment, which beautifully complements the Rag & Bone basic trousers.
The ever-stunning jewellery department included Karma El-Khalil diamond line hoop earrings and cuff (pieces she’s worn several times), a breath-taking Inana 18K rose gold necklace with pave diamonds and a Boulder opal by Suneera and a Dawn evil-eye ring by Ileana Makri, decorated by champagne and white diamonds, tsavorites and blue sapphires.
She also wore a Jacquie Aiche double-finger ruby ring.
The central event of the episode was another live performance. After the duet with Flo Rida on Monday, Christina took the stage again with the New York duo A Great Big World and sang their Say Something. It’s a very intense ballad and Christina delivered it with grace and emotion. She didn’t overpower Ian Axel’s voice, but their two voices created something magic. As a result, the song has instantly become one of the most downloaded songs on iTunes.
She wore a basic outfit for the performance – a simple white printed t-shirt and black trousers. Her Splash t-shirt is a Raquel Allegra piece featuring a scoop neck, a gradient print to the front, short sleeves and a curved hemline.
Her black pants are by Rag & Bone. The Rbw 23 style in Blackout features diagonal front zip pockets, back patch pockets and ankle zip.
She completed her look with a black knitted beanie by The Elder Statesman and a number of Loree Rodkin diamond rings.
We also saw Christina in some backstage scenes, while busy with rehearsing with her team members. In this case, she wore a cute ribbed cornflower blue sweater with silver stud accents. I’ve been trying to identify it but no results yet.
She kept her make-up simple (which gave her a washed-out look, in my opinion) and she styled her hair wavy. She wore the same ruby ring by Jacquie Aiche seen during the live show, a pair of gold hoop earrings and an oval ring with pave diamonds.
Now that her style has taken a new direction, I’m more and more excited to see what she has in store for us in the upcoming episodes!
