After some weeks devoted to blind auditions and battle rounds, the competition at The Voice has just entered a new phase – the Knockout Rounds – where singers of the same team “fight” one against the other and only one of them will be chosen by the team coach.
Christina looked sensational, sporting a look (white shirt and loose tie) which she had already sported at the time of Back to Basics. It’s funny and probably not a coincidence that she wore clothing and accessories which had been already spotted on her. I like this because it shows she loves some of the things she wore in the past and is not afraid to give them another chance. A moment of appreciation for her glamourous make-up and wavy hairstyle, please, because they’re really flawless.
Let’s start with her Dolce & Gabbana white shirt with tiny black buttons: you may remember she wore it back in November 2011, when she taped her performance for the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. This time she wore it exactly as she did two years ago, by pairing it to a black satin loose tie.
The same can be said for some of her jewellery: the Maltese cross knuckle ring by Loree Rodkin is one of her favourite pieces ever, while the diamond line hoop earrings by Karma El Khalil were seen on her last September, when she made an appearance at the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She also wore a navette cocktail ring, a gold bangle and a diamond ring.
We also saw Christina in pre-recorded scenes, when she helped the members of her team to rehearse their performances. She wore the same Rag & Bone jeans she wore at the show, plus a zebra-print distressed tank top which has been literally driving me crazy. My guess is that it’s a Neena t-shirt by Iro, but the print doesn’t look quite the same.
On the contrary, her hoop earrings were easy to id, because Christina has worn them many times. You’ve probably noticed she’s wearing Stephen Webster jewellery less frequently, but these Dagger Fringed earrings are surely among her favourite pieces.
Tonight the second part of the Knockout Rounds will air, but I can’t wait to see what Christina has in store for us for the live phase of the show! I’ve really liked her outfits so far, so I’m looking forward to seeing more fabulousness from her.
