Christina Aguilera’s Style: The Voice (Season 5) – Blind Auditions

A new school year has started, my favourite tv shows’ new seasons are starting, fall is approaching… All this means that The Voice and my weekly posts about Christina Aguilera’s style are baaaack! I must admit I missed writing about her so frequently, but now I’m more excited than ever, ready to solve all the id mysteries behind her outfit.

Yesterday the fifth season was kicked off by the blind auditions. Christina’s outfit was nothing new, because we had a glimpse of it last July, but let’s see it in detail anyway.

xtina_michaelcincoChristina wore a shorter version of a stunning evening dress by the Filipino designer Michael Cinco: it’s part of the Impalpable Dream of Russia Holiday 2013 collection and it’s completely made of triangle-shaped jet beads applied on tulle and surrounded by a beaded net. The dress is so beautiful and beautifully enhances Christina’s slimmer figure; I really like the long sleeves and the turtleneck, demure details which balance the short hem.

xtina_suneeraempressringI wasn’t able to take good screencaps of the episode, but I found these pictures shot backstage. Here you can also see her amazing make-up – glossy red lips and smokey eyes with silver glitter and dramatic eyelashes. I love this look so much, especially because it’s paired to a very simple hairstyle. In the screencap above you can see the Empress ring by Suneera, a 18K yellow gold and blackened silver stunner, embellished with diamond pave and an oval black spinel.

xtina_suneeraodessaringShe also wore the Odessa ring by the same brand, made of gold and blackened silver with diamond pavé and a central grey diamond.

xtina_daniellequellerearringsThe jewellery department included a stunning creation by Danielle Queller – a pair of carved onyx earrings embellished with black and white diamonds, which beautifully completed her sparkling outfit.

xtina_ladypeepstrassA sparkling pair of Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Strass peep-toe pumps completed her look.

xtina_pamelalovecagering1The first episode of the new season included an energetic rendition of the classic Joan Jett song, I Love Rock & Roll. Christina sported a very different outfit, in line with the performance – a splattered ribbed tank top as dress, an army-style bolero with patches, an array of bracelets (a charm bracelet and a pyramid-spiked one) and a couple of silver rings, among which the double cage ring by Pamela Love that she’s worn many times. I loved her make-up here (especially the hot pink eyes with glitter), but I’m not crazy of her backcombed hair.

xtina_yslBefore the new season actually started, many warming-up videos were published on Internet – interviews with the coaches, where they explained their expectations for the upcoming show. In one of these Christina sported a beautiful outfit, where masculine and feminine touches mixed. Her black vest with satin lapels is a classic piece by Yves Saint Laurent [1], and so is the leopard-print silk blouse, left open to show a black satin bra.

xtina_suneeraaerieringShe completed her look with two cocktail rings (one of them is the Aerie ring by Suneera) and her trademark red lips. I really hope she will opt for this style again: she’s fantastic.

I’ll keep on posting about Christina’s The Voice outfits here, but for more details about her style (promotional pictures, magazine photospreads and candids) you can check this tag on my Tumblr blog.

[1] The vest seen on Christina is slightly different from the vest in the picture: the lower hems have a different shape – not concave, but convex.
