Friday usually marks the end of the working week, but for me it’s different because I work on Saturdays. For this reason, Friday for me means one thing only: a new movie guessing game! This time I’ve decided to focus on the most elusive themes of all – mirrors. All the psychological and iconographic implications of a reflection or a reflecting object have always fascinated me, and cinema is able to imbue even more drama and complexity into it.
As usual, I will close the game on Tuesday evening, when I will publish all the comments in moderation and the name of the winner. You can ask for suggestions in the comments (which I will approve); on Monday I will publish some clues for the screencaps that haven’t been identified. I hope you’ll enjoy it ♥ xoxo
Here is the solution. I don’t think this guessing game was that difficult, but it’s always hard to be in your shoes. I admit I sometimes take for granted the fact that you must have seen some movies, but it’s clearly not that easy to have all the same cinema background. In any case, this week the winner is Alessandro. He was so good that he guessed seven pictures right; the only frame he didn’t recognize is from one of my favourite music films, the biopic What We Do Is Secret by Rodger Grossman, which tells the story of Darby Crash and the Germs. Despite the difficulties you may have found, I hope you enjoyed it anyway and I hope you’ll be back again next Friday for another movie quiz. Thanks!
