After some weeks of blind auditions, things are starting to get juicier at The Voice. The battle rounds aired on October 8th and 9th: members of the same team performed in duets and their coaches decided who was to stay in the team; in some cases, judges stole singers from other teams.
The outfit that Christina sported in the studio is not new – we’ve already seen it in some backstage scenes aired in Access Hollywood. After experimenting with the blazer/top/shorts combo, Christina is back to her beloved long-sleeved fitted dresses and to one of her favourite brand, Alexander McQueen.
Her dress has a beautiful jelly print, an abstract pattern in the shades of blue and grey which beautifully compliments Christina’s hair and eyes.
She also wore two of my favourite creations by Rodkin – a stunning diamond-studded baby snake bondage ring and the famous Maltese cross bondage ring that Christina has worn many times. I absolutely love the hair and make-up here. The half-updo is so nice on her, while the neutral eyes, paired to scarlet lips and burgundy nails, are perfect.
Besides the duets, some backstage moments were aired, too. In one of these scenes, Christina wore a leopard-print long-sleeved jersey dress, which she accessorized with an array of silver bracelets, chandelier earrings and another of her favourite pieces of jewellery – Pamela Love silver cage ring. I like her with this updo, but I don’t like her make-up, which is too heavy for my liking. Nice blue shade on her nails, though.
In other scenes, Christina talked to members of her team with a famous colleague she had chosen as consultant – Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Here she sported a lovely “rock” outfit, which included a Balmain military ripped shirt with gold inserts, a printed t-shirt, David Lerner ripped leggings (worn over fishnet stockings… She’s Christina, after all!).
I can only assume she was wearing Christian Louboutin pumps. From the screencap above they seem to be a bit patterned, so she could have been wearing Lady Peep Spike pumps. This is just a guess, though.
She also wore a bondage ring, a silver beaded necklace and a chain necklace with a dagger pendant and a series of wood beaded bracelets by Loree Rodkin (one of them has a skull-shaped charm). She sported a bit messy hair (love it) and a soft make-up.
The spirit of Lady GaGa characterized part of the battle rounds: Cody Belew and Domo from Team Cee Lo sang Telephone, and Christina channelled her inner GaGa sporting a weird outfit during rehearsals. It’s quite unusual to see her sport such an aggressive look: she wore a biker jacket with cut-out floral details, a black top, silver necklaces, heavy make-up and a black and white bandanna. I don’t really like this outfit, but I hope I’ll be able to id her jacket because it’s gorgeous.
What do you think of her outfits in these episodes? I can’t wait to see what she’ll wear in the upcoming episodes!
