Christina Aguilera’s Style: Promoting “The Voice” on TV, May 2011

Christina Aguilera is currently in New York, where she’s been busy with promoting NBC’s The Voice. I must say I’m so glad to see her more beautiful and livelier than ever: she’s recently had some hard times in her life, but it seems like she’s striving and doing her best to go on and to overcome difficulties.

I hope you’ll forgive me for posting this unusual picture first, but she looks amazing, I love her smile and her smiling eyes. I like this picture so much because the contrast between her platinum blonde locks and the red soles of her Louboutin slingbacks is just gorgeous.

In this case, she was leaving the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where she taped the Top Ten for the Late Show with David Letterman. Please watch it because it’s hilarious!

She sported a Roland Mouret fitted black dress which suited her really well. I think this lady-like style, vaguely reminiscent of the 50’s, is the best for her, because it flaunts her curvy figure and exalts her sexy side without being trashy.

Her hair was styled with a central parting and soft waves, which makes her look lovely. I think the make-up was great, as well: this time she wore a blue-based red lipstick, a little bit darker than the shades she usually wear, which gave her a vaguely vampy look.

Her towering shoes were, of course, by Christian Louboutin: she wore Lady Clou slingbacks, a beautiful style embellished with studs, on the platform and on the heel, too. The studs on the front bow are adorable. You may remember she wore the red version of the same model at the blind auditions of The Voice.

The day after, she made an appearance at the Today Show, where she was interviewed by Matt Lauer. She looked outstanding: she was wearing yet another polka dot dress (now it’s official: she’s obsessed with them) and a pair of antique Art Deco earrings with onyx and rubies. The make-up (see the black nails) and the hairstyle screamed glamour from the 50’s, they were just the perfect finishing touches of such a feminine look.

Her dress was of course a Dolce & Gabbana piece from the Summer 2011 collection: it’s made of black chiffon with red polka dots, it has a fitted bodice with a hint of sweetheart neckline and a flirty full skirt. She paired it to Christian Louboutin Lady Peep slingbacks in black glittering leather.

Are you watching The Voice? What are your opinions about it? And what do you think of Christina’s recent outfits?
