Nobody Touches the Second Shelf but Me

This new category is a simple way to share all the things (music, cinema and fashion) which are constantly sources of inspiration to me. As you may have noticed, most of them come from the past, which is probably the reason why I just can’t get them out of my head: they are all so meaningful to me, because they all had a part in my cultural growth.

Can you recognize some (or all) pictures? Why don’t you write your ids (title included) in the comments, so we can have a sort of quiz done?

I’ll try to post 10 pictures in this category each Friday. Hope you’ll enjoy it.

    1. Good guesses!!! Most of them are right…but two are still missing.

      Any idea about the title?

Have these movies/artists influenced you as well?

  4. Here is the ultimate solution of the quizzzz🙂

    Carrie by Brian de Palma
    – Jamison Newlander, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman from The Lost Boys by Joel Schumacher
    – Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin from True Blood
    – M.I.A.
    – Angela Bassett from Strange Days by Kathryn Bigelow
    – Lindsay Lohan and Alison Pill with Sara Sugarman on the set of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
    – Babes in Toyland
    – Gia Carangi
    – Faith No More & Pearl Jam
    – Ines de la Fressange in a Chanel advertisement

  5. The title comes from The Lost Boys. It’s a sentence uttered by Barnard Herrmann (Michael and Sam’s grandfather): “Second shelf is mine. That’s where I keep my rootbeers and my double-thick Oreo cookies. Nobody touches the second shelf but me.”
